On Friday 2nd August 2024, fans can revel in kick ass blues rock staples from Slash’s brilliant solo works, as well as his special guests ZZ Ward and Robert Randolph! This spectacle is held to celebrate the blues and being the blues connoisseur that he is, Slash launches an entirely new festival! Festival is a clever anagram of his unprecendented mantra – solidarity, engagement, restore, peace, equality, N’ tolerance! The renowned musician wanted to create a top tier festival with a fantastic atmosphere! It just also happens to pay homage Slash's favorite, the blues!
Ultimately, Slash wants to inspire the next generation of rockers - and pave the way for more legends like him to emerge. But it's a great vision and the guitarist has accomplished this massive rager and he’s bringing along his high profile friends! For starters, the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival delivers over 20 dates across the U.S. and the line-up of special guests include some of the most respectable and highly sought after musicians.
Like Slash, they’re brilliant blues artists who put themselves on the map with nothing but talent and passion. The coveted stop at the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods will also welcome the magnificent ZZ Ward and Robert Randolph. Blues sensation ZZ Ward has dropped three highly regarded records, including the Storm which soared to number 1 on the Blues chart. Last year, she released her latest work Dirty Shine, spawning fantastic titles, such as “Baby Don’t,” “Ride or Die,” and “Forget About Us.” Meanwhile, Grammy nominated blues and soul guitarist Robert Randolph, is remarkably known for his riveting swagger. Performing mainly as Robert Randolph and the Family Band, this outstanding musician has dropped six brilliant studio works, including Top 5 albums, Got Soul and Brighter Days.
Slash may have reached phenomenal fame with his legendary band Guns and Rose, but he’s a bluesman at heart. This is evident in his myriad of brilliant solo releases through his self-titled debut work. This year, Slash also drops his new blues album, Orgy of the Damned, a terrific blues cover project that features Robert Johnson’s “Crossroad,” Charlie Segar’s “Key to the Highway, Howlin' Wolf’s “Killing Floor,” and more.
