King of the blues, B.B. King has prophesized: “Bonamassa's just good. One of a kind. The kind that will be a legend before he's 25."

King has seen a bright future ahead of this child prodigy that he set up for the young Joe to open for B.B. King in about twenty shows when Bonamassa was just about 12 years old. Before he reached the age of 18, Joe was in a band called Bloodline, whose bandmates included sons of rock n' roll greats - Miles Davis, Robby Krieger, and Berry Oakley. Even though it did not bring him the so-called fame and fortune, it became a stepping stone or a platform that drew attention to Bonamassa's prodigious talent as a guitar player.

In the year 2000, Joe Bonamassa debuted with his studio album entitled "A New Day Yesterday", which hit the 9th spot on Billboard's Blues chart. By 2002 to 2006, he had three studio albums taking the number one spot in Billboard's blues charts and five albums making it to the top ten. To date, Joe has a whopping twenty-seven #1 Billboard Blues Chart albums and even achieved a phenomenal feat of having an album debut on the Billboard 200 chart's top ten -- a testament that a blues album could go head-to-head with mainstream pop albums.

Joe Bonamassa has literally become the poster boy of guitar music -- making it to the cover of virtually every guitar magazine published. Guitar World even proclaims him as "Arguably the world's biggest blues guitarist".

The music press has nothing but praises and acknowledges Bonamassa's presence and outstanding contribution to music.

"The best guitarist on the planet at the very top of his game." - Liverpool Echo

"Joe Bonamassa’s mix of intricate licks from a master’s guitar and punchy vocals accented a virtuoso performance." - Aberdeen Evening Express

"Arguably the world's consummate Blues guitarist and its greatest exponent didn't just rock the joint he simply blew the roof off." - Reading Chronicle

“They're calling him the future of blues, but they're wrong - Joe Bonamassa is the present; so fresh and of his time that he almost defines it." - Classic Rock Magazine

“Joe Bonamassa continues to push the boundaries of blues rock. With each new record, he challenges himself to deliver something new, something fresh, and keep things interesting whilst, at the same time, staying true to the roots of blues music.” - National Rock Review

He is also one of the most decorated blues guitarists, reaping awards and accolades from peers, music critics, and major music award-giving bodies. His recognitions include three Grammy Awards nominations, Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the Classic Rock and Roll Honors Awards, Billboard's Number One Blues Artists of 2010, and ranking at number 48 in Guitar World's 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.

It could be true that gods walk among men. Perhaps one living proof is Joe Bonamassa. When he is onstage, he doesn't talk a lot but he preaches the gospel of the blues with his slick and vibrant fingers. Whether you worship a guitar god or look up to guitar heroes, Joe Bonamassa embodies both and is simply divine.
